I have no information on your William, but will keep looking. Do you or anyone else have information on Christopher Atwell of Virginia (quite early) or his descendants? I am still looking for Laetitia Atwell's people. She married Major John Lee and died in Culpeper VA in 1775 in childbirth. Their son Willis Atwell Lee is my ggggggreat grandfather.
