I am trying to get info on WILLIAM ATWELL b.c1790 in CT who married Esther PEPPER of NEw Fairfield, Fairfield Co, CT. I'm trying to prove they are the paretns of Akan Atwell b.July, 1821 in CT. The Pepper family is well-documented except for Esther's family. William Atwell and Esther Pepper moved from CT to Luzerne Co, PA in 1834 where they bought land from Esther's cousin, Daniel Pepper. Esther is in the Luzerne Co, PA 1840 census but she and William disappear after that. Anyone with information on William Atwells in CT or PA during this time period, please contact me.
