Hi, Thanks for your reply re: Anna Atwell and George Atwell. Somehow I believe there may be a connection; but do not know at this point. When I get more information I'll send it to the Atwell Rootsweb. Just moved into my new house here and I have the birth cert of Anna Atwell Cool's daughter Florence Topeka Cool. I will take a look at it and find out just where in Iowa she was born. This is just the beginning of a search for me. Do any of you have any Atwells with American Indian Ancestry? Just a long shot; however, you know how family lore is--everyone these days believes that they have American Indian ancestory and some do; however, we are looking at the Cool/Atwell family closely to see if there are any connection there to family rumors.
