Annie, All the Atwells I have were born and died in Georgia, except maybe George W. He may have come from Alabama, I'm not sure just guessing. The only info I have on George W. Atwell is from the obits of his children. He married Sarah Keel abt 1860 and thier children were born between 1860-77, but I can't find any census record of George and Sarah together. You mentioned the name Anna. The Anna in my file was born Nov 1860, five or ten years after your Anna. It could have been a family name, maybe an aunt of the Anna in my file, still just guessing. Mickey, the Atwells might be quite, but we have to get u'm talkin' and sharing what we know. Michelle, I know what you mean about college and time.
