Hello, I am looking for my ancestor Laetitia Atwell, born in 1743 in Culpeper VA, or perhaps in Westomoreland County. Could she have been the child of Sarah and Francis? Do you have a Laetitia listed at all? She married John Lee, who was a cousin of Anne Lee who married Thomas Atwell, Francis' brother. This makes me think that perhaps Laetitia was descended from Francis and Sarah. She died in childbirth in 1775 a few days before the Revolutionary War broke out. Her only child Willis Atwell Lee is my 5th great grandfather. His father gave him to his brother Hancock Lee and went off to fight the War. He served with Washington at Valley Forge. Willis ended up doing fine, and he played a mean fiddle according to family legends. He was clerk for Thomas Todd, US Supreme Court Justice, who married Dolly Madison's sister, the first wedding in the White House. I would love to find Laetitia's ancestors. Thank you, Jan Howell Marx
