Daughter of the late Alfred Jones and Elsie Asbury Jones, she was born on June 4, 1921 in Green County, Ky., and was a member of Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She was married to Neuman Bastin on Sept. 7, 1938, who preceded her in death on Nov. 17, 1973. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Winfred Simpson of Greensburg; one son, Lanny Bastin of Hardyville; and two granddaughters, Stacy Simpson and Sarah Simpson, both of Greensburg. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Ruby C. Jones on July 20, 1916. Funeral was at 1 p.m., Friday, March 2 at Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg, with burial in Houk Cemetery. The Rev. Randy Scott and the Rev. Jack Davidson officiated. Pallbearers were Lanny Bastin, Jerry Overfelt, Jimmie Atwell, Randy Bastin, Larry Jones and Scottie Davis.
