Surnames: Atwell Tubbs Sprague Wait Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/4YB.2ACEB/420.1 Message Board Post: MY results are in for a Male direct descendent of Benjamin Atwell in New London Ct 1664 R1b ( M343) This is a Lot closer to the Maine/Mass Atwell families than the Virginia lines. A closer match to the Jordan family who were members of the SAME church (Archs of St. Mary's) in Exeter England mid 1600's. It appears that Benjamin was closer to the families in Maine in relationships than the families in the US South. I am sure we will define this a bit closer in years to come. Glen Atwell.
