However the Migration Pattern west seems to follow this route for several branches.... From Maine south to Connecticutt and Rhode Island , Then WEST to NY state except the ones that went to Wyoming PA which was then part of Connecticut before the revolution. Then from the Erie Penn area to the Michigan frontier and west up into Wisconsin Oregon and so forth. Some Atwell reserachers have told me that their Ancestors were Irish. Likely then that as the Maine-Connecticut lines were setteling in America a few of them went with Cromwells army to Ireland and later joined up with the relatives in America a century later. Sorting out Immigrant lines is a difficult task.
