I regret to report the passing of cousin to many on the BASTIN-L and ATWELL-L lists, Tarah Scott Rock. She was a double cousin to many on these two lists, through her dual ATWELL descent. " Tarah Scott Rock Horse Cave, KY- Tarah Scott Rock, 86, of the Shady Grove community, died Tuesday, June 6, 2000 at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. She was a Green County native, a housewife and a member of the Shady Grove Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Donie Wilcoxson Scott. Survivors include her husband of 69 years, Floyd Rock of Shady Grove, and a host of friends and relatives. The funeral will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at the Shady Grove Baptist Church with burial in the Houk Cemetary. Visitation will be 1:30 to 9 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Winn Funeral Home and after 9 a.m. until time for services Thursday at the church. " (Note: Although I don't know for sure, I also believe that her husband, Floyd Rock, is likely related to the many BASTINs who are descendants of David Walker SMITH through David Walker SMITH's mother, Sarah 'Molly' ROCK.
