In an earlier post you said that your Thomas Pinkney Atwell was born in Alabama and I don't know that any of ours went there. On the other hand our family came from the Prince Edward/Charlotte/Lunenburg County, VA, area, and you will see that in 1820 Charlotte Co. there was a Thomas Atwell b. bet. 1775-1794. He is probably ours but we don't know his connection or where he went. Otherwise, the new family being found in Tennessee seems to be in the DeKalb and Wilson County region which is not all that close to McNairy County. Lois and I will keep and eye out for mentions of Alabama. Ray
