    3. The Independent Chronicle Massachusetts October 1799 pg.1 Mr. George Attridge, of this town, was bitten by a heifer under the influence of the hydrophobia, on Wednesday last; he says that his daughter, Dea. J. Wilder, who owned the creature, and Mr. Frost, apprehend danger from having had their hands besmeared by her saliva. Mr. A. fears his own wounds, which were by two teeth, but very slight, will end his life. He is journeying to an eminent physician, and we hope he will find relief. mbousman7@cox.net
