    1. Re: Ashby/Berry Relationship
    2. Sorry, I don't have any Berry notes that could help. I am forwarding this message to the Ashby list. maybe somebody there will have information of the family of Rose Berry. It is listed in Thomas Ashbys will 1752 that "cozen" Reuben and "cozen" Ann Berry were to receive one cow and calf when they reached 21. In old nomenclature, the term "cozen" often referred to nephew or niece. Do you think this is possible? I would like to know how they may be related to Rose Berry. Reuben was born about 1735-1740 and has been hooked to every Berry line imaginable, but I don't think anything has been proven yet. I have researched extensively in Hopkins, KY and think I have the 3 separate Berry families figured out. They may be related back in VA but no connection yet. I have heard a lot about the Ashby Book but have never seen it. Does it cover other families. Reuben Berry m. 1)Sarah 2)Sinah Claywell Ashby d/o Bounds, Henry, Thomas. I hope you can help. Thanks.
