Hi Andy, Maybe I can help here. According to the will of Tinson Ashby, dated December 25, 1822, and recorded August, 1823 in Shelby Co., Kentucky, Stinson left the following sons: Benjamin C.; John S.; and his three youngest sons, James C.; Tinson C.; and Thadeus C. S. C. Ashby. Presumably Benjamin and John are the children of Tinson's first wife, as he gives to them the land left by Benjamin Cooper to my wife, Nancy. He leaves the rest of his property to his wife Sally, for his three youngest sons. I'm not sure what connection you are trying to make but if it is a connection between Stinson K. Ashby, b. about 1810 to Tinson Ashby, it wouldn't seem to fit for two reasons. First, from the will above, it would appear that Tinson's son was Tinson C. Ashby, not Stinson K. Second, the Tinson, Jr. was apparently the child of his second wife, Sally. Tinson Sr. and Sally were married in Shelby Co. on October 31, 1816, so I presume that Tinson C. Ashby was born after this date. Hope this is helpful. Rochelle
