My Mary Ashby was b. abt 1720 and married Richard Forgham in Myddle Salop on 22 Sept 1742. If they followed the traditional way of naming children - the first son was called William which incidentally was his father's name. The second son is named James. This could be the name of the father of Mary. The Ashy Data that was submitted on the 14th January, 2000 gives the name of Thomas Ashby of Hopton, Salop. Does anyone have additional info on his family? Where is Hopton, Sal. I have looked on a map and can't find it. Was it anywhere around Myddle?
