My Family emigrated from Germany, Hannover, Herrenhausen in 1954 arriving in Melbourne, Australia in January 1955. My ancestors come from a small town called Seelze near Hannover. They where Blacksmiths and lived in Seelze No.18 at the corner of Bremerstrasse and Schmiedestrasse. The house is now the Oldest house in Seelze having been built in 1659. The first Asche that lived there came from Luthe No.20 another small village near Hannover. His name was Christian Heinrich Asche born in21-Aug-1763. The last Asche to live in this house was Heinrich Asche who died in 1991? He would have been a second or theird cousin of mine. I have uploaded to the FamilyTreeMaker Online my information.
