I found the following article quite by accident in the Newark Advocate, Newark OH. November 20, 1959 All-Around Bad Day Is Suffered by Cincy Man Cincinnati (AP) Thursday was a bad day all around for Edward F. ASCHE, 50. First, a gas heater ignited rags and papers in his two-room apartment and he was rescued by firemen. The fireman smelled more that smoke however, so police arrested ASCHE on a charge of drunkenness. Next, Secret Service agents paid him a visit in his cell at the jail and arrested him again on a charge of forging his dead mother's social security checks. He waived a hearing on the last charge when arraigned before U. S. Commissioner Graham P. HUNT Jr. I suspect that this Edward F. Asche is in my family but I can't prove it. If any one can claim him I would very much like to hear from you. I would like to find his parents. Joan L.
