Thanks Arend, as I see, there is no connection to any Asche of our line. But it wa new to me there were so many Asches in Ditzum, Jemgum. We are no real Asches, but come from Aske Windhus. The first name later mutated to Asche. Werner

Some churchbooks are available iin form of a CD. But I do not know if that of Ditzim and Jemgum. I myself got only that of Varel/Friesland. There exist several Genealogische Vereine here in Germany. Perhaps you may find them out and get in contact with them. My brother Kurt (he died in 2001) and I were formerly members.But lost interest, we were,are to old. I am now 82 years. Just had our golden wedding on 10th of this month. If you need any help, let me know. But Ditzum and Jemgum are more than 100 km from here. And winterwill be coming. Born Feb. 10, 1941 in Portsmouth [Ohio] he was the son of Albert and Garnet (Birch) Asche. His wife Joan Bowman Asche, to whom he was married Aug. 1, 1980, survives. He was a retired Chief Petty Officer with the U. S. Navy having served in Vietnam. Other survivors include a daughter Robin Ann Asche at home, two brothers, Don Mussetter of Columbus and Joe Asche of Portsmouth, three sisters Verna Branham of Porter, Texas and Helen Sue and Ruth Asche both of Springfield, and several aunts and uncles. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Tuner & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. D. R. Lamb officiating. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
