He was born April 20, 1920, in McDowell County, W.Va., to Thomas Perry and Veda McCoy Asbury. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Marvin Asbury and Donald Asbury; and a sister, Evelyn Neely. Survivors include his beloved wife of 45 years, Carol R. Asbury; a daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Jimmie Cockerham of Dobson, N.C.; a daughter, Pamela Asbury of Galax; a son and daughter-in-law, Roscoe Allen Jr., and Diana W. Asbury of Troutville; three grandchildren, Johnathan and Bill of Brandywine, Md., Irene Asbury of Berkley Springs, W.Va., and Cleo Cobbold and husband Ron of Olympic, Calif.; two brothers, Jimmy Asbury of Crawfordville, Ind., and Floyd Asbury and wife, Pauline of Berkley Springs, W.Va.; a sister-in-law, Barbara Spence and husband, Okey of Charlotte, N.C.; a special friend, Kaye Cochran of Dalton, Ga.; and countless nieces, nephews, family and friends.
