    3. Dear Yell Co list members, My subscription to the Yell County Record began February 19, 1997 and my older papers have now been summarized and archived. My deep appreciation to Diane Holland, who graciously volunteered to summarize the new issues while I worked on the older papers. Without her assistance, it would have taken much longer to complete the process. Please accept my thanks to all of you for allowing us to post the summaries to the list. Not only were we able to provide transcriptions for Yell County researchers but this has allowed the summaries to become permanently archived on Rootsweb. Even though the postings must have been tedious for some readers, to my knowledge, no one ever complained. Except for the May 21 and December 10, 1997 issues, (papers I'm missing) we now have a summary for all published obituaries in the Yell Co Record from February 19, 1997 through August 9, 2000. My plans are to continue adding to this index, as each new issue arrives. Our hope is that it will grow into a helpful resource for Yell County researchers. Mary maryleek@attglobal.net
