Hi Anyone know anything about the following family? Ervin/Irvin Garner, born Bet. January 1870 - 1874 in Arkansas. He married (1) Mary E. Pollard November 18, 1893 in Scott County Arkansas by John A. Taylor, M.G. He married (2) Sallie Dobbs October 16, 1910 in Scott County Arkansas. Mary E. Pollard, born January 1875; died May 1900 in Arkansas, buried Hunt Cemetery in Dutch Creek Valley She was the daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Pollard . Children of Ervin/Irvin Garner and Mary Pollard are: i. Willie Garner, born August 1895. I dont know what happened to him after 1900. He is not with his father in 1910. ii. Dovie Garner, born September 1897 in Arkansas. She married Winfield "Fee" Dobbs March 6, 1911 in Scott County Arkansas (Scott County Marriage Book D, DOBBS, Fee, 19, of Nola, to Dovie GARNER, 16, of Nola, on 6 March 1911, by W.E. Harris, J.P. Page 193. Not proven that this is this couple) This was found: Yell County Cemeteries, Mt. Zion Cemetery, Yell County Dobbs, Dovie Florence 2 Oct 1897 - 30 Dec 1970 Dobbs, Fee Winfield 6 May 1891 - 9 Sep 1891 [Not proven that this is this couple] Fee Winfield was the brother of Sallie Dobbs, second wife of Ervin?Irvin Garner. Sallie Dobbs, second wife of Ervin/Irvin Garner, was born about 1889 in Oklahoma . She was the daughter of Winfield and Alice Dobbs. I dont know if this couple had any children. Who are the parents of Ervin/Irvin Garner? He is found in the 1900 Yell County Census of Gravelly Hill, living with a John Miller family and is listed as a cousin. There are three other Garners also living in the household. A James Garner age 9, born May 1891. Who are his parents? Also are Willie Garner, age 4 and Dovie Garner age two, both also listed as cousins of this household. Ervin Garner is found in Jones Twp in Scott County in 1910, living next door to the Winfield Dobbs family [Sallie Dobbs parents]. Only his daughter, Dovie is in his household. What happened to the Ervin Garner family after 1910 and his marriage to Sallie Dobbs? Sallies mother is still in Scott County in 1920, widowed. Charlene Holland
