Interment in Okmulgee Cemetery. Sadie Arbuckle Sadie O. (Evans) Arbuckle, age 86 of Houston, Texas, formerly of Dardanelle, AR, widow of John D. Arbuckle, died Saturday, January 17, 1998 in Houston, Texas. She was born February 2, 1911 in Dardanelle, AR to the late Dermitt and Lettie B. Johnson Evans. Interment in Dyer Cemetery, Dyer, AR; arrangements by Cornwell Funeral Home of Dardanelle. Billy Lofland Billy Seth "Bill" Lofland, age 65, of Briggsville, AR died Tuesday, January 27 at his home. He was born May 30, 1932 in Bluffton, AR to the late Homer and Oda Caviness Lofland. Among his survivors is his wife, Nina Melton Lofland. Willard Scruggs Willard Duane "Dimp" Scruggs, age 78, of Splendora, Texas, passed away December 2, 1997 after a lengthy illness. He was born December 20, 1918 to William F. and Effie Gay Scruggs at Ponca City, Oklahoma. His mother passed away and he was brought to Birta, Yell County, AR when he was six months old to be raised by his grandparents, John and Mary E. Marcum. James Dodd James Franklin Dodd, age 82, of Dardanelle, AR, widower of Nina Dodd, died Sunday, January 18, 1998 at Dardanelle Hospital. He was born May 12, 1915 in Dardanelle, AR to the late William Dodd. He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Zeffra VanGilder Dodd Cossey and Wayne Cossey. Homer Meridieth Homer Ford Meridieth, age 86, of Mena, AR died January 16, 1998 at the Mena Medical Center. He was born July 30, 1911 to the late Joe Meridieth and the late Mary Sells Meridieth. Among his survivors is his wife, Rose (Evans) Meridieth. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Iona Medford Meridieth in 1979. Interment in Pinecrest Memorial Park.
