Floyd, I wish I could help. My family settled in Mosley - Slo Fork area between Dardanelle and Danville. From what my grandfather, William Henry Earls, said, he could find no connection between the families. It always seemed strange, with such an uncommon surname, that two families could settle less than 20 miles apart without being related.
