I have nothing on his spouse or children, but do have a bit of information on his ancestors and siblings. His parents were George W. Jamison and Sarah Kelly Cravens. His siblings were Jesse L.C. Jamison (1843), David William Jamison (1845), Martha O. Jamison (1847), George Andrew Jamison (1850, my gggrandfather), James A. Jamison (1851), Mary M. Jamison (1853), Robert H. Jamison (1856), Nancy S. Jamison (1859), and Ruff H. Jamison (1863). If this seems like it could be a match, contact me and I will send you more information. Gary

    3. Gary, the last child seems MORE than a mere coincidence to me. My Jameson/Jamison folks of Searcy County, Ark. (one Ebenezer B. Jameson was in Pope County in a census or two and married there as well.) The RUFF Jamison is worth pursueing...My Permelia Lee Jameson married David Crockett RUFF a prominent Justice of the Peace in Searcy County, and they had a large family. What do you think about this RUFF given name and our large Ruff family in Searcy County just above Pope County? My John Jameson came out of VA, Ky into MO about 1820 and on down into Ark by 1837-38. He being the Jameson who brought all his sons and daughters and their spouses into Searcy County,Arkansas, and they all settled up there on the Buffalo River.
