    1. Re: [ARYELL-L] Limbirds
    2. Rev. Mark LIMBIRD celebrated his 85th birthday on Sunday, April 8, 1923. Many friends and family gathered on Saturday to help him celebrate, according to an article I just received from a Yell Co. newspaper. He died in 1928 and is buried in the Oak Grove Methodist Church Cemetery. He was a minister of the gospel for the Methodist Episcopal Church, South. His wife Mary DRAKE LIMBIRD is buried beside him. She died in 1926. After her death, there was a really nice article in the POST-DISPATCH. On the back of the article in the column called New Hope Items, the following was written about the couple: "...She and Mr. LIMBIRD visited the churches and Sunday Schools so often, they will be greatly missed. I believe they kept the Sabbath holy, a command which is broken by so many." The above article seems to suggest that they served more than one church. His granddaughter, who is still living, mentioned they served at the New Hope Methodist Church. Always searching, Pat
