Baptism Picture This picture was taken about 1941-42, around Nola. Does anyone know which river this is, and who these people are? What church they were baptized from? I think that this is Alice and Jacob Hale and their son, Deuan Hale. Who is the lady on the far left side? Is the lady sitting in the chair Melvina Jones Morrow, mother of Alice Morrow Hale? This picture was probably taken in Nola. Melvina died January 23, 1931, so this picture was probably taken in the late 1920’s or early 1930-1931. Melvina was the wife of William Preston Morrow. S.C. Herrin Store in Gravelly I believe that Ves and Thula Herrin, owner of this store is in this picture but am unable to identify them for sure. I think they may be the two standing under the sign. Who are the others in this picture? Does anyone know when this picture was taken? Gravelly is just over the county line from Scott County, so these people may be from Scott County.
