FYI >From the Seminole Producer, Seminole Co, Ok July 10 Bill Burton Funeral services for Konawa resident Bill Frank Burton are scheduled for Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Pickard Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa with Rev. Pam Shirk and Rev. J.B. Bond offici- ating. Burial will follow at Konawa Cemetery. Burton died Monday in Ko- nawa at the age of 72. He was born April 12, 1929 in Konawa to Gladys Amy (Jones) and Herman Floyd Burton. Burton married Rogene (Croom) in Okmulgee on Aug. 6, 1955. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War Burton was a pipefitter and oil- field worker, who lived all of his life in Konawa. His activities and associations included Boy Scouts, the Konawa Round-up club, the Odd Fellows, the Konawa City Council, the American Legion, and the Elks Club. He was also a lifetime member of the Konawa United Methodist Church. Burton is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Rogene, of the home; and two daughters, Cynthia Jane Burton, Houston, Texas; and Catherine Ann Shuffield, Stillwater. Pallbearers are Darrel Walker, Charles Carpenter, Jack Terry, Mickey Johnson, Pete Williams, Tim Green, Harrel Kennedy, and Lester Braddock. Honorary pallbearers are Herb Walker, Bill Houston, John Phelps, Roy Hughes, Dan Khoury, Milton Courtney, and Walt Lamb.
