Looking for info of the Mays, Sturgeon, and Pruett families of Arkansas - STURGEON - Looking for info on the George Washington STURGEON b 1870/1873 Ozark AR but lived a lot of his life in or around Dardanelle, AR best I can find out. He married (1) Emma Louise FISH PRUETT and she brought 3 children from James Pruett into the union - William Frank, Laura, and Ethel Pruett and (2) his stepdaughter Laura Pruett. >From his first marriage to Emma Louise FISH he had 2 children - first my grandma Minnie Jane Sturgeon b Yell Co AR 1896 m Monroe MAYS and second George Washington Sturgeon Jr. b 1898 Wittich, Sebastian Co AR. >From his second marriage to Laura PRUETT, they had 9 children and both he and Laura and most of their children are buried near Conway AR. Only one son Fleet STURGEON is still living of their 9 children - he lives in Mayflower, AR. I am trying to find out when and where George and Emma Louise Fish were married, around 1895/1896? and divorced? (1900/1901?) and when and where George and Laura Pruett were married - think sometime around 1900.
