These names are connected to my Hudspeth family in Yell County. My information is: Martha Lewis had a brother named Marshall who lived at Prescott, Arkansas. She Bill Hunley. She married second John Maxey as his second wife. He had two sons, one of whom was named Andrew. She and John Maxey had a daughter, Johnnie May, who married Irby moore and lived at Dardanelle, Arksansas. My connection to this family is that Martha's mother is Susan/Susannah Hudspeth, who is the sister of my maternal Great-Grandfather James Nathaniel Hudspeth. After her mother's death, probably in the early 1870s, James Nathaniel and his wife took Martha to raise, for some reason, and when they migrated to Texas in the late 1870s, they took Martha with them. My grandmother, Emma Ann(a) was born there in 1879 and her mother died shortly afterward. She had James Nathaniel promise to bring my grandmother and her three year old sister back to Arkansas and he did this. Martha visited my grandmother after they were grown and family members told me that she had red hair. If this information helps you in any way, I would love to hear from you. Several years ago I was visiting an aunt who lived at Russellville, Arkansas and we were talking about my grandmother's family and how little we knew of them and my aunt knew of Johnnie M ay Moore and we went to Dardanelle to see if we could find her. She was not at home but a neighbor told us that she was visiting some relative who lived on Highway 22 and we got directions from him and drove up there and spent a ccouple of hours with the two ladies.
