My great great grandfather's father and mother came from GA. They had 12 children in all but we don't know what happened to them. We now know that my great great grandfather was the 11th child and born in Ozard Co MO in 1848. He enlisted in Yell Co AR. His father died in 1849 at the age of 49 and we don't know what happened to his mother, Lucy Woodliff Durham b. 1808. She must of remarried. She had several small children. I am wondering if he enlisted in Yell Co because that is where some of his Durham family was from. This was a large Durham family. His father was one of 7 or 8 chidlren born to Anderson Durham and Rebecca Jarrett Durham of Wilkes and Jackson Co GA. Do you know anything more of this Mary Durham? Please keep in touch!
