My great great grandfather's father and mother came from GA. They had 12 children in all but we don't know what happened to them. We now know that my great great grandfather was the 11th child and born in Ozard Co MO in 1848. He enlisted in Yell Co AR. His father died in 1849 at the age of 49 and we don't know what happened to his mother, Lucy Woodliff Durham b. 1808. She must of remarried. She had several small children. I am wondering if he enlisted in Yell Co because that is where some of his Durham family was from. This was a large Durham family. His father was one of 7 or 8 chidlren born to Anderson Durham and Rebecca Jarrett Durham of Wilkes and Jackson Co GA. Do you know anything more of this Mary Durham? Please keep in touch! My great great grandfather Solon Cisero Stephen Durham b. 1848 Ozark Co MO married Mary Catherine (Molly)Bourland b. 1849 St Francois Co MO in 1868 in St Francois Co MO in a Methodist Church. They were in TX by 1869. They had about 10 or 11 children, two of which were twins. They are both buried at Hillcrest Cemetery in McLean TX. Solon was a Confederate soldier at age 16. He was a Union prisoner of war but was released. He had two hernia's on either side of him and died of some form of Carcinoma in 1923.
