    2. yvonne henson
    3. Hello Listmembers-- I have two questions. First question. Does anyone know if there is a marriage index for Yell county (Dardanelle) approximate years 1928 to 1930? I am looking for 2 girls, Ira(?) and Hazel Grant. I don't know who they married or when. I want to know that when I go to Dardanelle and start looking that I WILL have to look page by page through the marriage books. (I called the courthouse and they told me they were indexed by groom only.) Next question. Is there anyone that can do obit lookups? I would like one on Wayne A Grant died Nov 27, 1941 in Pulaski County. He was living in Big Rock Township. Where is that? Faulkner Lake, Rose City area? Please advise me on these things. ____________________________ Colorado Springs, Colorado reply to henson@rmi.net web page: http://www.rmi.net/~henson Names I am researching: BRENT(S), GRANT, EDMON(D)SON, HENSON, MCARTHUR ____________________________________________________________________ Get your own FREE, personal Netscape WebMail account today at http://webmail.netscape.com.

    1. [ARYELL-L] Help!! Miles/Moore marriage, 1870?
    2. Greybar
    3. Hi, everyone. I'm searching for a marriage date/record for Lewis Bobo Miles and Louisa Ann Moore. They were married in about 1870-1871, undoubtedly in Yell County, but I have so far had no luck. Lewis Bobo Miles was in the 1870 census living with Decatur F. Berry and Mary (Pendergrass) Berry, his future sister-in-law. (Mary Pendergrass was the daughter of Ann Pendergrass before she married Telinius Moore, Louisa's father and mother). Lewis and Louisa and 3 children before she died in 1875, but only one lived. Her name was Cordella (Della) Miles, who married Lewis Pinkney Harmon. Lewis then married Maggie Clarisa Nolen and had three more children - Ray, Lou, and Lollie. I would appreciate any help locating the marriage of Lewis and Louisa that anyone could give. I also have lots of descendant info, etc., to share if there are any relatives out there. Barbara Harmon Snohomish, WA greybar@gte.net

Weigelt and his family arrived in New Orleans from Schlesien Germany (Prussia) in Jan 1879. Due to an outbreak of Yellow Fever in town the family remained on the boat until they decided to head up the Mississippi River than the Arkansas River. Heading west they stopped at Carden Bottoms were they decided to remain and began farming. Sometime before June 1880, Weigelt's mother-in law, Louise Reiman contracted malaria and died. Reiman was buried within sight of a Catholic Church on a hill, the church at this time in Carden Bottom. A large monument was erected where she was buried. Does anyone have any idea where this burial site could be located ? One letter mentioned their land was located near the township of Wilson but another says Dardanelle. Also can someone explain where Carden Bottoms is located in Yell County? Thanks so much for any information. JE Maack
