Williams; He enlisted into the 13th Regiment- Arkansas volunteers as a Confederate Soldier May 15, 1861 and was wounded at Murphysboro Tenn. and was discharged May 25, 1965. On July 27, 1891 He applied for a Confederate pension In Danville Yell Co Ar. and was awarded a Pension July 26. 1901 while residing in Riley Twnsp. Yell Co. Ar. He passed away prior to signing his last Pension check in 1905 and it was awarded to his 4 living daughters Bettie Toney, Helen Mott, Ather Frame and Martha Finch, Can anyone tell me what cemetery served Riley Twnsp. during those years and if there is an index for it. anyone having an index I would appreciate a lookup and the exact date of his death. Camps, owned a restaurant in California, was an antique dealer and store owner in Hot Springs and Fayettteville and was a retired painter,working many years as a painter for the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, proudly painting the Razorback on the basketball court at the University for many years. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Herbert Apple and an infant brother, Pat Apple; and three sisters, Myrtle Pledger, Vera Damon and an infant sister, Gertie Apple. Holland lived in Attala Co MS in 1870. Aziline Hollands sister Castine (Christine) Holland (1852-1871) was married to Charles A.J. Kitchens brother Zephaniah B. Kitchens (1844-1904). Another brother, William J. Kitchens (1848-1917)was married to a Holland (possibly Aziline & Castines sister Palestine). These families lived in close proximity to each other in Attala Co. (Kosciusko PO), MS in 1870. Charles, Zephaniah, & Williams father was William J. Kitchens (1811-1880). Aziline, Castine, & Palestine Hollands father was Y.M. Holland (born 1810 SC). The Y.M. Holland family also lived in Attala Co. (Kosciusko PO) MS in 1870. There is a possibility of either Cherokee or Choctaw blood in this Holland family. These Kitchens & Holland families traveled together in late 1870 from Attala Co. MS up the Mississippi River to its confluence with the Arkansas River, then up the Arkansas River to Cardon Bottom, thence finally settling (for several generations) in Walnut Tree (now Waltreak), Dutch Creek, Yell Co., Ark. Aziline Holland & Charles A.J. Kitchens eventually had 13 children. Castine (Christine) Holland and Zephaniah B. Kitchens had 3 children, (Palestine?) Holland & William J. Kitchens had 7 children. Any information regarding these Kitchens and Holland families in Yell Co., Ark (1870 - )would be greatly appreciated. Will share all the information I have on these families.

Hey Scott County, It is beautiful in California right now and we are all enjoying it. However, for those of you who are still searching, I ran into a whole family of Wilson HUNT decendents in Bakersfield, CA. They are from HUNT Township - Dutch Creek - Scott County - AR. Jonathan HUNT b. 1842 m. Elizibeth Pruitt 1836? (who may be related to the TATES/GEORGES). Jonathan is a son of Wilson HUNT. The Bakersfield section of this family are children of Thomas Columbus HUNT b. appx 1860. My connection is Sarah I HUNT b. 1871, sister of TC HUNT. She married George W. BRAND and later JJ KIMBRO and they all moved to Oklahoma. I am working on this family and will post it as soon as I can, or when I get back from the beach.
