Dear Listers, Laura Jane Barry age 26 married J. W. Dawson age 39 on March 25, 1886, in Dardanelle, Yell Co. He died within the next three years. One source thought she married a Phillips, could this have been a second husband? There is a Laura Phillips buried in the Salem Cemetery. There is also Guye Phillips son of J. W. and L. J. I did not find J. W. listed in that cemetery. Laura Jane's mother, Adeline Barry wife of A. K. 27 Sept. 1828-12 Oct. 1894 is buried there. I also saw a record that a Mrs. Dawson married a Kuhn. I have not been able to find this again. There is a record that Laura Dawson married John F. Key 17 Oct. 1890 in Crawford, Co. I will be most appreciative if anyone can shed some light about who Laura Jane Barry's second husband may have been. Thanks, Pat Dawson

Daughter of Robert and Ottie Spainhour, Eulene Spainhour was born in Ark in 1913. Obituary of Eulene Spainhour Cardwell Bergman stated she was born in Wayne Co Ark, but there is no such place that I can find. Does anyone recognize this reference. Could this have been a town instead of a county? Any information about this family would be appreciated. Did Nancy Yates Adams die in Yell Co? She is not listed with the family on the 1900 census.

Hi I am still looking for information about my great grandfather's, WILLIAM PRESTON MORROW, parents. All I know is they were born in Indiana. An old family legend says that these Morrows were from Ireland originally. There were three MORROWS in Scott County Arkansas in the 1880s and later. All were born in Indiana, and I think they may have been brothers and sister. Below is a descendant outline of these families. I have been able to trace the descendants of WILLIAM PRESTON MORROW, and some of NANCY MORROW'S. I have not been able to trace ISAAC MORROW and WINNIE PITTS after 1920. EDWARD MORROW’S family is in Scott County in the 1900 and 1910 census in Lewis Township, but not in Scott County in 1920. There is a story that a brother of WILLIAM P. MORROW moved away from Scott County and that his descendants ended up in Tulsa, Oklahoma where some of WILLIAM P. MORROW'S descendant's also live to this day. Could that possibly be the EDWARD MORROW listed below? I have just recently came upon this story, so have not had time to check it out. There were a number of MORROW families in Indiana in 1860 with children by the name of William of about the correct age: 1860 Indiana Dekalb County Census Township Newville Post Office Auburn Page 347# 666/666 JACOB S. And then this census record was found. Because of the name, Samuel, I think this might be a good possibility of being our MORROW family. The problem is, the child, William L. is listed as a female. As we know with census records, this is very possibly an error, either in transcribing or an error of the enumerator.
