On a recent trip to Dardanelle Arkansas, I visited Mt. Zion Cemetary. I took pictures of many of the stones in the cemetary. One of the stones belonged to Livonia Gaydon...born: June 26, 1848 and died June 14, 1887. Since so many of my family members are buried at Mt. Zion...I was wondering if anyone had surnames that might connect with Livonia Gaydon. I am trying to see if maybe she connects somewhere with some of my family too. Thanks.."JUDY"

His name is Marion Monroe Coplan. His birth date is 1873-1875. He died March 3, 1942. Her name is Liza Jane Lewis Coplan. Her birth date is Nov. 17, 1881 and she died March 11, 1934. She was born in Missouri and she died in Washington Co. Arkansas. She is buried in Forest Park Cemetery in Springdale, Arkansas. He died in Yell Co. Arkansas and is buried in New Bethel Cemetery. They were married in 1901. They had 13 children, but I only have the names of 12 of them. Florence, Mary Matilda, Ella, Elmore, Grace, Sybil, Lewis Levi, Grandville, Leander, John, Jake, and J.B. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I am still trying to confirm the parents of Carrie F. Vinson. I believe I have them but need some help to make sure. To do that I also need to find the family of Birt and Carrie Sims and the parents and siblings of Birt. Here is what I know. Samuel C. Vinson (spelled Vincent in the census) and Eugenia Vinson are listed in the 1880 Lafayette County, Mississippi Census records. They show up with two children. Lullah V. and William, 8 and 4. Samuel was born in Alabama. Eugenia was born in Mississippi. Both would have been born around 1855. In 1900, I find Samuel C. Vinson and Elizabeth Vinson living in Pulaski County, Arkansas. They are living with six children. John F, Mary R., Ada L., Samuel L., Martha E., and Oscar F. Vinson. Ages 16,15, 13, 12, 10, 8. John, Mary, and Oscar are deaf and dumb. There is a school for Deaf and Dumb in Pulaski County at that time. William show as living in the next house as a widower with a 1 year old son Alfred H. William in 1910 and 1920 shows in Bradley County, Arkansas with a new wife and a growing family. In 1900, Eugene Vinson is living in Pope County, Arkansas with his Brother in law and sister, D. Birt Sims and Carrie F. Sims. In 1910, Martha E. Vinson is living with her husband Lusco E. Mifflin in Yell County, Arkansas along with her Mother Elizabeth Vinson. Samuel L. Vinson is married to Effie Walker (daughter of Cornelious Walker, which makes this another one of those double cousin relationship to me that I never figure out.) My, Eugene is living as a farm hand with Jefferson Davis Miller and his family. Eugene shows as a widower. Jefferson Davis Miller had a daughter Laura Sybil Miller. Eugene married Laura Sybil and they had two children. Velda Viola Vinson, and Wilton Eugene Vinson. Velda was my grandmother. Now, here is what I need. Does anyone show a marriage record of Eugene M. Vinson marrying anyone between 1900 and 1910? Does anyone know of any descendants in the Sims line that could tell me where in Alabama to look for them? There are Vinsons in Pope County that came from Franklin County, Alabama. I do not find any connection. I find some land records in Butler County, Alabama the show some connection between the Vinson and the Sims families but I have not located Samuel C. Vinson as a child of anyone yet. I have the marriage between Samuel C. Vinson and his second wife Elizabeth A. Burnett as September 25, 1883 in Yalobusha County, Mississippi. I need a marriage for Samuel C. Vinson and Eugenia (Miller, I think but have no proof). Anything that helps me close noose on these wandering ghost would be greatly appreciated. Jeff Bailey Gladstone, Missouri

Our 3 great grandfather George W. Massingale was known to be an orphan, but it appears from census records that maybe he lost his father and his mother couldn't take care of the entire family. In the 1850 Census of Magazine Twp. George is living with the Thomas E. Jones Family along with Nancy W. Jones and Rebecca Massingale. Is Rebecca his sister? In Riley Twp is Elizabeth Massingale who I believe is Georges mother. Elizabeth has in her house hold Henry A. Massingale age 6, James B. Brett age 16, Elizabeth T. Brett age 14, and William McBride age 20. James and Willliam appear to be working the farm. By 1860 Census Elizabeth is living with the Wm. G. Heffington family, wife Elizabeth T. age 25. Is the Elizabeth T. the same Elizabeth T. in 1850 (Elizabeth T. Brett). Also living with the Heffingtons is Dorothy McBride. The names keep crossing, so is there anyone out there that is related or knows anything?
