Hi I am looking for information about the parents of a Dumetry or Dumetra A. Norwood who is found in the 1900 Scott County Census of Hunt Township. I find no other record of this woman other than her marriage record to David Williams of the same census record. I believe that David Williams was the son of Joseph Williams and Mary Susan Millard. Hunt Twp #11/11 David Williams Hd Aug 1850 49 M/10 AR IN TN Demetra A. Wf Feb 1868 32 0/0 TN TN TN Matilda V. D Feb 1885 15 Sgl AR AR AR WILLIAMS, David, 39, of Blue Ball to Miss Dumetry A. NORWOOD, 22, of Waldron by Thomas J. Tate on 26 Decem-ber 1889. Page 532. There are no Norwoods listed from 1850-1880 census records. There is a Millard F. Norwood family listed in Mount Pleasant Township. His wife is named Harriet and she is found listed in 1910 as a widow. I found the following marriage record, which may be this couple. NORWOOD, M.F., 25, of Waldron to Miss Lula McCORD, 18, of Waldron by J.W. DeShazo on 27 December 1888. Page 458. Their children named in the 1900 census were Annie M. age 14, Nelis A. [son] age 8, Carr L. [son]age 7 Willis O. [son]age 5 and Clemmie R. [dau] age 3. Is this Milton F. Norwod connected to Dumetra Norwood? Any help with these families would be greatly apreciated. Hello everyone. There are 165 members on our Yell County list. I wanted to write and let you know that your prayers for me and my husband helped and he is home from surgery and doing well. My big computer is still waiting for a replacement part and I am working on my little laptop and happy just to be reading messages and run my lists. I hope we enjoy this year of research. Remember if you don't post to the list you can't get answers. I research-- Harkey, Madden, McCarley, Lipe, McDaniel and Love in Yell County. 1848 to after 1940 Mary Harkey Russell bird@scrtc.com

Dad will be 81 next month. He is just wondering what became of some of the people in his past. Will someone please let me know if their connected with this family? Thanks.."JUDY"

Posted on: Yell Co. Ar Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Ar/Yell/500 Surname: HASTON, DURHAM, GRIFFIN ------------------------- My husband's great grandmother, MOLLIE (MARY) McLEMORE, married David S. HASTON in Yell County, Arkansas, on September 16, 1880. After David's death, she married Phillip GRIFFIN. We know they traveled back and forth from Arkansas to Oklahoma to Texas and back again to Arkansas, but we do not know when she died or where she is buried. We do believe that Mollie and Phillip had two sons, Herbert and Grant Griffin. We are also searching for information on MARY (DURHAM) HASTON, mother of DAVID S. HASTON. Her husband, Willie B. Haston, died in 1862, and we believe she moved to Yell County with some of her children sometime after Willie B.'s death.
