    1. [ARYELL-L] Migration from IN to Yell Co. AR
    2. In 1883/1884 a group of related families left Warrick Co. IN and settled in Yell Co. AR. At least one of the primary families was that of Joseph Young, immigrant from England, and his wife, Eleanor McDonald Wingate Young. Another primary family was that of John and Mary Dean, of England and Ireland. Most of their children were married and had young families, other children were born in AR. Several of the children of these two families had intermarried. The children and their spouses made up the travelers of this migration. The surnames found in this group were as follows: YOUNG, DEAN, CAMPBELL, WINGATE and HOWSLEY. There may have been others of which I am unaware. These families are found living close to one another on the 1900 Yell County, AR. Census in the Chickalah Township. I would be interested in hearing from anyone who has further knowledge of these migrants or other groups who may have followed the same paths. What type travel was involved? Did they raft, take boats, wagon trains? How would they get there? Why did so many leave IN? Was Yell Co. the original final destination? Thanks for any information you may be able to share. 1. [ARYELL-L] HARRISON John T and Mildred
    2. Hi list, Does anyone know if there is an Index for Yell County Cemeteries? I am seeking information on the burial places of John T. HARRISON born about 1854 in AR and his wife, Mildred born about 1858 in AR. They are listed as living in Ward Township in the 1900 census [with sons, Thomas and Michel, ages 16 and 13] but are not in the 1910 census. The 1900 Census said that this mother had had 6 children with only 2 living. I found this family in the 1880 census in Franklin County, AR with twin sons, Jefferson and Jesse, five months old. I believe that Mildred died before 1908 because a John T HARRISON got married to Rosan Farnsworth in Sept of 1908 in Yell County. My grandfather is their son Thomas Hezekiah HARRISON born Jan 31 1884 in AR and died Oct 15, 1926 in Picher, OK. thank you in advance for any help or insight you might be able to provide.
