    3. If you want to see if your machine has some of them there is this free program that does not have to be downloaded called "housecall" it will test your computer and find out if you have any virus or worms. Again these things do not come through "Rootsweb" but they come from infected computers of members of this list or other. Please take care. http://housecall.antivirus.com/housecall/start_corp.asp This is the URL I use to do virus checks in addition to my regular checker. 1. [ARYELL-L] William Washington Kelly
    2. Luther Kelly
    3. My ancestor William Washington Kelly (b. 1830, GA) left Blount Co., AL around 1871-1873 for AR. I do not know which county he went to but others from Blount Co., AL did go to Yell Co., AR to find work. He died somewhere in AR in 1872 or 1873. Blount Co., AL records indicate he died in AR but there is no exact date or no county listed. In 1873 his widow rented a horse to travel to AR. Was she going to see about her dying/dead husband? In 1877 she or her second husband borrowed $12 in Blount Co., AL to travel "from Little Rock to Dardenelle and return." Why was this second trip to AR made? So far as I know, there were no relatives in AR at this time. Does anyone have information on a William Washington Kelly (Kelley) who might have been in Yell Co. in the early 1870's? Could there be court or land records for him or could he be buried somewhere in the county? All help will be appreciated. Thanks, Luther Kelly

    2. Dear Listers, Please do not attempt to open these attachments from Cunningham. Cunningham may be unaware that they have a virus called Badtrans. 3. Hey List subscribers. If you don't have a good virus checker on your computer you are playing with fire. The virus and worms are rampant on the Internet lately. No one is safe unless they have one or two good virus checker programs in their machine and up date them every 2 to 3 days. I have Norton and one called AVP. I get warned that something bad is on the way and it is taken care of before my machine can be hurt. I am sure there are other very good programs out there too. Please keep your computer safe so that you can continue doing your genealogy online. I hate the thought of any of you loosing your files. Take care------ Mary Harkey Russell bird@scrtc.com http://www.scrtc.com/~bird

    2. I received an email from a Cunningham, it is suppose to be in regards to my post on the Hankins family. The problem is it must be downloaded. I saw another message on here earlier this evening from a concerned person saying something about a Cunningham replying to one of their queries. I don't know if this is safe to open or not. Has anyone else received one from this person too? Thanks, "JUDY"

    1. [ARYELL-L] Death Burial Record/ DEW, DEFORE
    2. Charisse
    3. I didn't locate the surnames DEW or DEFORE in the Yell Co., AR, Cemetery Indexes or Marriages of Yell Co., AR/1831-1900...and she died before the Arkansas Death Record Index (1914-1940) for a death certificate. Index to Wills & Administrations of Arkansas From the Earliest to 1900 (compiled 1986) made no mention of DEFORE or DEW, realizing the index only goes to 1900. I checked for the Danville and the Dardanelle courthouses. Sounds like you need a courthouse trip to locate a will. Wish I could've been more helpful. Charisse floyd@conwaycorp.net Surname: DEW ------------------------- Need Death and burial record in Yell county for Eliza or Elizabeth Defore Dew. Died in 1910. On 1910 Yell county Arknasas federal census. Married to John Owen Dew. Left several children. Also need obit and will. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
