Hi, we've corresponded before. I am still trying to find info re the William Howard Walker family migrating from Ar to Coryell County, Killeen, Tx. I have been corresponding with Chris in Fla, a second cousin who has a NELMS file and has asked if I would like it. She does not have a computer but will send me hard copies. If you will e-mail me at bcornwell98@att.net with your address maybe I can help with your NELMS file. I am descended from Nancy Jane Nelms. Nana

Many thanks to Rick Lawrence who wrote me as follows: Subject: Re: [ARYELL-L] Lost info > Hey Jack! > Well, did your researcher ever come up with anything > on the James Wilson/Delila Shipp controversy? Yes, I discovered that James, father of Matthew was married twice: 1st circa 1800 to Delilah Shippe and they had nine children, and 2nd circa 1815 to Betsy Hollomon and they had one child only, my grt-grt-g'pa Matthew Wilson who married Mary Holly Bryant and they had seven children. > You show Albert Holloman/Holiman, whatever, as serving > with Co. If so, I really > would like to have a copy of them. No, I don't have any copies of original documents on him, just the following notes I received which does cite the origin of the information #1 as "per Francis' application for pension #13,518": "died at home while on sick furlough from civil war. Father - Jeremiah Holloman, Mother - Lavina Byrum - and "Albert served in Ark Co.C 2nd Reg of Ark Cav" See also census records: 1860 Sevier Co., Ark; 1870 Upper LaFare, Yell Co, Ark pg 616; 1880 Upper LaFare, Yell Co, Ark pg 418: 1890 Bluffton, Yell Co., Ark pg 5; and Wake county, NC marriage bonds GS#418,152 item 2 > Speaking of Francis, I finally found her tombstone in > May. She's buried in the Bluffton Cemetery, Bluffton, > Yell County, AR. The spelling of her name on the > stone is Holiman. Her son, James W. is next to her. > His stone shows the spelling to be Holaman, b. > 4/10/1849 d. 10/11/1883. Many thanks for this addition info. > I also came up with a little info on the parents of > Charles C. Crawley. Did you need that? I don't have record of any Crawley in my line. Do you know who he was married to in my lines? > Rick Lawrence > __________________________________________________
Hello, read your post. I am searching for info. on a Emma Frame from ARk. We think she may have been from Morrilton at one time. The family story is that she had a child out of wed lock. Her son Eugene was born in 1927 in Ark. and she then died 6 months later. He bounced around foster homes till he was old enough to work from farm to farm then joined the service. Birth Father is unkn. Emma Frame's parents or siblings are unkn. Not much to go on is a brick wall.

Hello, I am looking for some information about my G-Grandmother Mary Eliza Burrows. She was born 02/02/1874 in Yell Co. Arkansas. Her father's name was Lafatte Burrows. This is all the information I have and I know it is not much to go on. I have no clue how long they were even in Yell County. I am just hoping someone might have these names in their databases. I would be willing to share her descendants information. Thank you! Kristy
I'm grasping at straws here - again. Trying to find if there was a marriage license listed for GEORGE WASHINGTON STURGEON sometime between 1899 and 1904 - thought it might be in Johnson County but evidently not - I do know he is listed on the 1910 census records in Johnson County AR. Thought it might help to check surrounding counties of Perry, Pope, Franklin, Yell??? George was born 1870 or 1873 in Ozark, AR Franklin Co and d 1949 buried Macedonia Cemetery Conway AR. His first wife was Emma Louise Fish Pruett and they were married abt 1895/6 Yell county?? divorced abt 1900??? - the second marriage I am looking to confirm is his marriage to his stepdaughter Laura Pruett and she might have used the name Laura Williams? On the 1910 census their records (George and Laura) that they had been married 9 years? Can anyone help????? SnowJohns@AOL.COM Dee Johns
