I am new to this list and need help from someone who is knowledgeable about this county in Arkansas. According to the 1930 census, a family including Will Bishop, Irene anmd their five children lived in the town of Augusta. I know they lived there until 1941 because two of the children married there. If I hasd access to the marriage records there may have been others who married there. Nita Mae Bishop married Walter Butler in 1941 and Jess Bishop married Dorothy Rath in 1940. I am trying to find out where I should search next for members of this family. What records would be in the town to show anything about them? They had moved there from Alcorn County, Mississippi and William did odd jobs according to the census records. the children were: Bessie Bishop b. abt. 1915, Dalton Bishop, b. abt. 1917, Jess Bishop, b. abt. 1919, Nita Bishop b. abt. 1920 and Marie Bishop b. abt. 1921.
