He moved from Rowan Co. to Cotton Plant area in 1858. His sister Jane Malissa Locke who had married Dr. Daniel Wood and their family came at the same time. This family had a dau. Augusta who married Charles Lynch. I have info on both these families. My Grandmother was Mertie Eliza Locke - her parents Dr. Matthew T. Locke and Julia Callaway both died young and my grandmother was sent to live with her Uncle Todd and his second wife - Mary Hill dau. of P. Hill. She was married at the Locke home in 1889 to Joseph P. Hale and they lived their entire lives in Brinkley, Ar. I have extensive Locke, Gheen, Todd records. Thomas T. Locke, his wife and son are buried at Mound Cem. on the Davis farm n. of Cotton Plant.
