A memorial tribute to Rose White will be the focus of the Tri-County Genealogical meeting this coming Sunday, February 13. The Society will meet at the genealogy library in Marvell at 2 p.m. for this special program. Rose White will be remembered for a lifetime of genealogical pursuits, many of them to help other people in their research. She was a charter member and one of the pivotal organizers of Tri-County Genealogical Society in 1985 and served as treasurer from its inception until her death in October 2000. She spearheaded the drive for funds for the current library building and supervised the construction, and was active in all other phases of the Society's work. Bob Turner, president of the Society, said, "Family and friends of Rose have a special invitation to join Tri-County Genealogy in this tribute to her memory."
