The Tri-County Genealogical Society will meet at the genealogy library in Marvell, AR at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 9. Featured speaker will be Carrie Davison, who will talk about the 1930 Federal Population Census and the information that is found in that census. Davison will also explain how to use the 1880 Federal Census Index CD's, which are available at the Tri-County genealogy library. Tri-County Genealogical Society encompasses Phillips, Lee and Monroe Counties in eastern Arkansas and maintains one of the largest genealogical libraries in the area. The library is open each Sunday from two until five p.m. and each Thursday from one until four p.m. Visitors are welcome to attend the meetings, and/or do research at the library.
