"N. D." Byrd, A Civil War Vet.--Henry Co., TN To DeView, Woodruff Co., AR. Neopollus D. "N. D." Byrd, was born October 13, 1826 in Henry County, Tennessee, and migrated to Arkansas in 1869. On December 30, 1847, he was united in holy matrimony with Miss Frances J. True, born 1830 in Tennessee. He served in the Civil War, enlisting in the calvary in 1863, and received his discharge after one year of brave and chivalrous service. Neopollus D. "N. D." Byrd and Frances Jane (True) Byrd were the parents of five known children that I list. This is a great story, full of genealogy information on the Byrd family, their ancestors and desendants. Some of the surnames included in this family history are; Ross, Boswell, True, Crook, McGlamrock, and Smith. Hope you all get to read it.
