David Flourney & Anna Franklin (Corley) Price---Prince Edward Co., VA to Snapps, Woodruff Co., AR. Capt. David Flourney Price, was a well-to-do planter who resided near Snapps, Woodruff Co., AR. He was born in Prince Edward County, VA., November 21, 1841, and was a son of Nathaniel D. and Mary Treadway (Compton) Price. David Flourney Price was one of eight children, only four of which were living in 1890. He enlisted in Company A, Fourth Tennessee Infantry and served until the surrender, holding the rank of captain of his company after the battle of Smithville, N.C. In January, 1871, he came to Woodruff County, Arkansas and married, in 1872, Miss Anna Franklin Corley. This is a great story, full of genealogy information on the Price-Corley family, their ancestors and desendants.
