Fennell in my files as follows; Morris D. Fennell was born 1824 in South Carolina and died February 9, 1901 in Union Co., AR. He was married first to Jane E. ??. He was married second to Rachel McCuller on January 17, 1848 in Stewart Co., GA. Children by this marriage was; John, Washington Ivey, Mary Julliette, and George Hamption, born August 9, 1849 in Sterling, GA and died 1879 in Hunt, Texas. George Hampton Fennell was married to Martha Thomas Robinson in 1872 in Scott Co., AR and they had at least four children; Lonnie, Edward D., Wiley, and George Washington Fennell, born April 6, 1874 in Greenville, TX. George died November November 9, 1952 in Antlers, OK. He married Rebecca Ann Baker, born May 9, 1872 in Illinois on July 25, 1896 and they had eight known children. He married Oma Ann Frances, born January 16, 1896, in 1915. They had eleven known children. He later married Rendy Tiner. He married Minnie Hawkins born 1882 in 1928! . He married Erma Inez Cannada in 1939 and had one known child, Teddy Inez Fennell. Morris D. Fennell maried Sarah "Sallie" Johnston who died in 1899. I don't have a record of their children. After the death of Sarah he married Julia Louisa ??, on December 24, 1900 in Union Co., AR. I also have notes in my file regarding the possibility of Sarah "Sallie" Johnston could may have been Cherokee Indian and was adopted by the Johnston family as a small child, apparently, several small children and their mother were fond and taken in. The mother was ill and died. My notes also state that Morris D. Fennell served in the Civil War, CSA from about 1861 to 1863 and was wounded at Corinth, MS. He was captured and paroled at Vicksburg. On July 11, 1863 he surrendered at Vicksburg. In 1870 he is found on the census in Brazos Co., Texas. In 1882 he was in Union Co., AR. Who was your grandmother, and your mother, I will check and see what I have for them. Hope this helps. Best regards, Gary Telford Family Roots Woodruff County Monitor
