Yes, you may use the information and my name as a source reference. I am not a member of SCV but would like to have the membership information, as I write a lot of history on the Civil War Veterans of Woodruff County, AR. I did a large column, nine pages in our newspaper last Veterans Day on this subject and others. I did not have Edward O. Grigsby listed as one of the Civil War Vets who are buried in Woodruff County. I will be adding his name to my list after viewing the webb site that you gave me. I noticed that he was listed as Assistant Surgeon between August 1862 through July 1863 in the 9th Mississippi. His name has sparked my interest in him and I will be doing some additional research on him in Woodruff County. I will let you know what else I find. I am going to the Odd Fellows Cemetery today to see where he is buried, to see his headstone and see if it gives any additional information on him indicating his Civil War record. I will also take a digital picture of his headstone and e-mail it to you. Many of my ancestors were from Mississippi, Marshall, Union, Ponotoc, Tippah, and Lee counties, etc. I have many people in my file with the surname Purvis who were from Tennessee and migrated to Mississippi and some on to Texas. I was wondering about your ancestors, and if I might have them in my files? Hope to hear from you soon. Best regards, Gary Telford Family Roots Woodruff County Monitor
