Edward HOLMAN (also HOLLEMAN, HOLLIMAN and HOLLOMAN or HOLEMAN), b July 1867, Monroe County, ARK. He was known as Willie as a child, and as an adult used initials or Wm. Edward or just Ed or William. A photo I have shows "Ed HOLMAN" half brother of Clara COOPER McLAIN, and he is standing with Frank HOLMAN---maybe a brother, but I think a son. William Edward HOLLEMAN lived in Woodruff County, Caney township on the 1900 and the 1920 census with his wife Rosie B. / Rosa B. PHILLIPS, b 1881 TX, and children.Rosie's brother Joe PHILLIPS also lived with them until he married and moved to Oklahoma. In 1930, a grandson Thomas J. RAY age 9 (b 1920) lived in the HOLMAN household in Brinkley, Monroe Co, AR on White Oak Street. HOLMAN was a contractor or building contractor. For some reason, on the 1910 census, W. Edward HOLMAN was living in Watensaw township, Prairie County--but in 1920 Ed and Rosie B. were back in Woodruff County Caney twp, ED 237, House #32. By 1930, he and family were in Brinkley, Monroe Co., ARK, Dist. 3, ED 48-3 at #30 Whiteoak St. Wm. Edward HOLLEMAN / HOLMAN Children: Frank G. (I think he was a son by a 1st marriage) born 1888; Agnes b 1891; Blanche 1897; Etta May 1902; Maggie B. 1905; Edward D. about 1910; Charlie A. 1914; Nellie M. 1918. I am seeking info on marriages / descendants of these children. I also have photos of Wm. Edward and Frank HOLMAN probably taken 1910 to 1920 and of Wm. Edward's children Charley and Nellie taken about 1920. These photos are among possessions of Wm.Edward's half sister, Clara COOPER McLAIN, b 1878 Monroe Co., d 1979 McNeil, AR. Clara's father was Dillard L. COOPER, b 1838, SC, d 1884, Monroe Co., AR. Wm. Edward --and I think a sister Ellen, b about 1868, AR--- lived in the COOPER household on 1880 census. Wm. Edward was born in ARK to Edward HOLLEMAN, b 1815--who on 1870 census was from VA , 1880 census from IL-- and my g-g grandmother Parthenia ANDREWS, HOUSE, HOLLEMAN COOPER, b 1834/35 Georgia. In Parthenia's bible, it is noted that Edward HOLMUN died March 18, 1873. (In 1876, "Mrs. Parmelia HOLMAN married B.L. (D.L.) COOPER" in Monroe County, AR.) More information on COOPERs is available. After Dillard L. COOPER died in 1884, Wm. Edward HOLMAN's mother Parthenia lived first with her daughter Lizzie ?HOLMAN or COOPER, MALOY and husband Dan MALOY (1900 census) and by 1910 was living in Jackson County with her other daughter Clara COOPER MCLAIN and husband Wm. David McLAIN---county judge 1914-1919. Thanks for any information on these family lines.
