I have stumbled over the two names "Clayton Moses" and "Moseby Clayton" however, our ancestor Maxine Helm Lewis always said her father's name was Clayton Moses Helm. It is recorded in the family bible that way. Another mystery to clarify! I was wondering if you have any info on Piney Black Helm's parents. I recently got his death certificate says he died Dec 18, 1931 in Loanoke and that his father was George Helm, but doesn't say where George was born and also his mother's name is unreadable or looks like it was erased. Also it says his residence at time of death was Hicks Farm, Gray Township, I suppose that is Loanoke. It is a curiosity to me his name, "Piney Black". Have you a clue as to what it stood for?
