    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Golightly, Cagle, Duty Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/AW.2ADE/887.2.1 Message Board Post: Thanks to Mr. Tedford in Woodruff Co., Ark. I've solved a puzzle about my Parthenia Dauze Golightly Cagle Perkins. She was born July 20, 1825 in Arkansas or Alabama. She died April 24, 1914 in Merryville, Beauregard Parish, La. She married Raleigh J. Cagle July 22, 1845 in Marshall Co., Ms. I found her marriage license in the Holly Springs, Ms. Courthouse. Raleigh J. Cagle was born March 24, 1824 in Henderson, Tn. He died Oct. 20, 1891 in Cagle Branch, Beauregard Parish, La. He was buried Oct. 23, 1891 in the Sugartown Baptist Church Cemetery. I've been there many times to his daughter's grave, my g grandmother, but his grave is unmarked. Raleigh and Parthenia's children were: Clara born 1849; Rebecca born April 10, 1851 w/o of Thomas Jeffers Iles,; Isaac Golightly Cagle born April 27, 1854 h/o Temperance Anne Cooley, ; Eason Marian Cagle born 1856; Laura born 1865; Judith Alice born Jan. 5, 1867 died Sept. 13, 1901 in Sugartown and is buried there with her father! ; and Lorenzo Dowell born Feb. 12, 1870 and died May 15, 1915. Judith Alice Cagle married Carroll Murdock Sanders in 1884 in Sugartown. Their children were: Avis Annette Sanders born Nov. 6, 1884 in Sugartown died Jan. 27, 1960 in New Gulf, Tx. buried in the Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Wharton, Tx. w/o of Wm. Burnham O'Quinn. Verda Sanders born Oct. 7, 1885 w/o of Judah "Bud" Malone, Carroll born in 1886 died in 1891; Walter born Oct. 19, 1887 h/o of Flossie Stewart; and Janie w/o of a Mr. Shaw. I just received records from Athen, Ala. Limestone Co., Ala. which are nearly illegible. If I'm correct (I'll spend more time with an optivisor examing them) James Golightly died in 1841; Parthenia D. is mentioned at an Orphan's Court. I don't see how James could have died later; Parthenia would have been about 16; the rcords in Woodruff identify her as Parthenia Cagle. There's a descrepancy somewhere. Let's try to solve it. June
