    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/AW.2ADE/887.1 Message Board Post: June, I have been looking in some of my files regarding Parthena (Golightly) Cagle, wife of Raleigh J. Cagle, who were married July 22, 1847 in Marshall Co., MS and died in Beauregard Parish, LA, buried at the Baptist Church Cemetery, Sugartown, Beauregard Parish, LA. You said her father was Hugh Golightly. I have Hugh Golightly, born May 10, 1797 in South Carolina and was married to Sarah E. Wilson, born 1807 in South Carolina. They had a son, Robert Hugh Golightly, born in 1830. Hugh died February 24, 1847 and Sarah died February 17, 1847, three days after Hugh died. Both died in Madison Co., AL. Hugh was buried in the Golightly Family Cemetery, Madison Co., AL. They have a double tombstone. I believe they were divorced and had agreed to be buried at least five miles apart at their death. According to legal documents on file in the Woodruff County Courthouse, Parthenia (Golightly) Cagle was the daughter of James Golightly, born May 9, 1788 who married Leah Eddins, born 1802-1803 in South Carolina. James Golightly died November 27, 1863 in Woodruff Co., AR . Leah died August 31, 1881. Both are buried in the White Church Cemetery. The documents that I now have list the heirs of James Golightly, wife, children and grandchildren. Parthena Cagle is listed as one of the children and an heir to the estate of James Golightly. I would like to hear your comments regarding this. Waiting your reply. Gary Telford Family Roots Woodruff County Monitor wgt@centurytel.net
